Aluminium swarf coming alive before my eyes on a slab of beautiful mahogany.

Just a visual hint at some of the textures in my next batch of builds. I have always loved working with aluminium and most days it seems to me that combining metals and woods in new and unusual ways is what this game is all about.

Some new skills for pickguard construction here ...

I've been meaning to offer back-sprayed guards for some time, contrasting lacquer colours against the guitar body in the style of some American guitar makers of the 50's and my beloved European weirdo's of the 60's ... there's yet another 60's Hagström here on my repair bench with baby-blue acrylic to compliment it's vinyl clad body.

There are new posts on the Triggers page of this site and many new photos around the place. As usual I urge you to subscribe to either the RSS link or the Facebook button for the more day to day goings on in the shed ( including galleries of vintage repair jobs that have passed through here lately ).

Enjoy,

Cheers, Anthony
